There is nothing more relaxing and fulfilling than exploring God's world, while at the same time learning about our state history. Tom DeMund does an excellent job describing the locations and directions for easy to strenuous hikes along the Feather River. The Feather River is incredible, and this book opens up the river for exploration. Read the book and then hike back in time while you soak up God's creation. Tom describes some beautiful country, and gives directions to some awesome mining camps and ghost towns.

This girl did what more people should do, she took her chance to have a wish and made it into a way to help others. I want to pass this book on to everyone that I know just becuase it will help everyone that reads it, either by getting a new perspectiveon life, or to become a little more empathetic, greatful, whatever it is we owe her thanks. And you go girl nothing can hold you down.

Patricia Hill Collins builds off of her equally enlightening and well-written Black Feminist Thought to create fighting words. She proposes a "critical social theory" to combine both theory and action for black feminism, stressing that thought is useless without these actions. She analyzes the need for such a theory as well as the reasons for black feminism's unique ability to serve as that theory. Using sociology, postmodernism, and Afrocentrism as her examples, Collins examines the history of black women within the areas and how her critical social theory could impact them. The overall point of such critical social theory is to achieve empowerment for black women, and Collins ties everything together into her vision of how that is possible. An excellent book, though anyone who wants a complete picture should also read her Black Feminist Thought.

Gleim offers a wonderful study guide with the Financial Accounting Exam Questions and Explanations book. A recent college grad, this book was used as a supplementary study aid by my accounting instructors that gives multiple choice type questions with suppoting explanations of both the correct and incorrect answers of recent CPA exam questions. It is a great asset and I plan to use it in preparation of the CPA exam.

This book is great! The questions are very helpful and relate well to the chapters in my intermediate textbook. The explanations to the correct answers are also very helpful when you get a question wrong. The CPA exam questions used in the book are challenging, but are a good preparation for the CPA exam. Also, the many professors like to use questions directly from this book, for their exams!
